In this paper an analysis model for the microstrip slot antenna excited by a nonterminated microstripline is presented. The model is an extension of the well-known method for the analysis of the radiation by a slot in a waveguide. By application of the Lorentz reciprocity theorem an equivalent circuit is found, whose parameters are determined with the aperture theory.
